Only three minutes west of Fuse Station. But you can feel the atmosphere of the town changing little by little. As you step onto Asakusa Kannon Dori with the bustle of the shopping street behind you, you will see red toriis (shrine gates) lined up at equal intervals, and the faint traces of old houses here and there.
Among them is an old house that has been beautifully maintained without being overbearing. The sign “bloom curry and coffee” welcomes you unobtrusively.

bloomで談笑する女性たち

At first, you may be a little hesitant. It looks like an ordinary house, and you can’t see much inside. However, when the sound of laughter and the aroma of coffee reach me through the large iron lattice window, I naturally open the door.

Sweets and thoughts are 100% rice flour

ショーケースのスイーツ

In the showcase on the right are about four kinds of fluffy baked sweets. A closer look reveals that they are all gluten-free. The owner uses rice flour from her family’s farm in Yao.

The carrot cake and waffles are also made with rice flour. Rice flour has fewer calories than wheat flour and is more nutritious. What is more surprising than this information, however, is the moistness of the cake the moment you eat it. The cake falls apart and the gentle sweetness spreads in your mouth.

米粉100%のキャロットケーキ

Rice flour was never this delicious before.
These casual and careful sweets will make you realize such a thing.

A cup of rice flour is like a conversation.

オーダー毎にハンドドリップで淹れる珈琲

Coffee is the perfect accompaniment to sweet treats. Here, each cup of coffee is hand-drip brewed to order. It is not suitable for a rush, but the aroma soars, and even the waiting time becomes a “taste.
The beans they use come from a roasting place owned by an acquaintance. This connection also makes the cafe somewhat unique.

自家製ジンジャエール

Another popular drink is homemade ginger ale. A syrup made by boiling down spices, slightly spicy ginger and chili peppers. cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Drinking it with a spiced curry will light up your body in the afternoon!

Apparel and cafe, two places to be.

店主のあすかさん

Asuka, the owner, used to work in apparel. In Gifu, where she worked, she encountered the café culture that originated in Nagoya and fell in love with it.
On her way home from work or on holidays, she would go into a café with nothing special to do and spend time just hanging out, which was unexpectedly pleasant. This experience was the starting point of the store.
I needed a place like that for myself. Now I hope I can create a “place” for someone else.
After quitting his job after the Corona disaster, he spent six months working as an apprentice before setting up his own restaurant in Osaka, where his parents live. On the first day he visited the store, he immediately decided that “this was the only place for me.

Iron windows, porch, and

アンティーク家具が魅力の内装

The interior of the renovated old house is lined with antique furniture. It looks like a grandmother’s house or a small European café.

The large iron lattice windows, which the owner says she could not compromise on, let in plenty of light. The window lets in plenty of light and softens the atmosphere of the store. The inside can be seen from the outside, so even first-timers are welcome to enter without feeling too self-conscious.

アイアン格子の窓

In today’s world, speed and efficiency are often prioritized, but here it is the exact opposite.
The coffee is carefully brewed one by one, and the time passes by on the porch outside the window. Just that alone is enough to make you feel as if you are being saved.

A place where everyone can say “I’m home.

店前立て看板

In this nostalgic town of Fuse Shopping Street, a “now” has taken root. A place where you can spend a moment in the midst of your daily life. A place where you can relax with someone or by yourself.

Nothing special, but it makes me feel at home.”
Such a comment from a customer may best describe the charm of this store.
