A crispy, golden treat that embodies tenderness.

Take a bite of a freshly baked curry bread, and you’ll find it crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Even though it’s not deep-fried, it has a rich aroma and a surprisingly crisp, satisfying texture.

And for good reason. Their signature baked curry bread is made entirely from rice flour, with no wheat at all.

There are five varieties in the lineup.
・“Standard,” with a mild spiciness
・“Spicy,” with a kick of hot chili
・“Chickpea Curry,” made without any animal products
・“Sri Lankan Curry” with tuna and potatoes
・“Beef Coconut,” with the aroma of Kuroge Wagyu and coconut

Each offers a unique flavor profile, with its own distinct character.

The buns are individually wrapped in silicone sheets; simply heat them in the microwave and toast them, and they’ll be just like fresh out of the oven. The fact that they can be frozen is another convenient feature that fits perfectly into everyday life.

Behind the fresh-baked exterior lies a side you haven’t yet discovered.

While curry buns tend to steal the spotlight, this shop actually offers a much wider variety of breads.

Although they aren’t displayed in the store, they offer a range of rice-flour-based items available by reservation only—from baguettes and bagels to chiffon cake and red bean paste donuts.

The baguettes are crispy and fragrant on the outside, with a chewy interior. The bagels, though small, have a satisfying chew and hold their own even when paired with savory fillings.

The unique texture that only rice flour can provide feels fresh every time you eat it.

Although the shop is open only on select days, they’ll do their best to accommodate you if you make a reservation in advance.

“I’m happy if I can bake something tailored to a person’s preferences,” says the owner, Mr. Inoue. True to his words, bread baked especially for someone is quietly waiting in the back of the shop.

A small gathering called a bakery.

Inside, there’s a small counter and a modest display of bread next to the register. Yet, it feels more welcoming than just a bakery.

“I was drawn to rice flour after discovering it in a baking class, and before I knew it, I had opened this shop,” says owner Inoue, who used to be a corporate employee.

But in this shop, “being here” feels more natural than his past career.

People who drop by on a whim chat briefly with the owner before heading home. Others quietly savor a piece of bread with a drink in hand. It feels as though time flows differently here—beyond simply “buying bread.”

The feeling that lies beyond rice flour.

“I keep doing this because it’s delicious,” Mr. Inoue says with a smile. Behind that smile, however, lies a firm philosophy.

Ensuring that even children with allergies can share the same table. Expanding the options to include rice within a food culture that has long been centered on wheat. Though not spoken of loudly, these loaves seem to gently lend a hand to the background and future of the ingredients.

That kindness truly reaches the “hearts” of those who eat them.
